Network Planning
|
|
At the beginning,
AWE Communications only offered a static FDMA
downlink simulator to show the influence of the propagation models on
the cell layout, coverage and interference. This simulator can be used
for the planning of broadcasting
networks as well as for 2G (GSM/EDGE) network planning.
After analyzing the feedback of partners
and customers, AWE Communications started
with the development of dynamic system simulators for UMTS FDD and UMTS TDD.
Today simulators and planning tools for
W-LAN,
WiMAX,
LTE, and further air interfaces are
available. The number of supported air interfaces will be increased during
the next years.
Since 2003, also hybrid (terrestrial and satellite) networks can be
planned with the tools of AWE Communications (e.g. DVB-SH). __
