The
third European
Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2009) will be
hosted in March 2009 in Berlin (Germany).
Following
the success of EuCAP 2006 and EuCAP 2007, AWE will exhibit its
sophisticated
wave propagation modeling and radio network planning tool WinProp also
at the third EuCAP which will be held in Berlin, Germany. |

EuCAP
has
become a regular keystone event on Antennas and Propagation, with a
large participation of the world community. The conference is supported by the
top level Associations in Antennas & Propagation, and provides the
ideal place for the exchange of scientific and technical information
and to foster collaboration and cooperation in the Antenna &
Propagation domain both at European and global levels.
The
third European
Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2009)
will be organised by the European Association on Antennas and
Propagation
(EurAAP), created by the Network of Excellence ACE, under the EU 6th
Framework Programme (FP6) and the VDE.
New features and the
evolution of the wave propagation models and the radio network planning
modules will be presented at EUCAP.

Besides the exhibition, AWE
will also present a scientific
paper related to MIMO at EuCAP 2009.
The Dutch research
center TNO, one of the customers of
AWE Communications, will also present a paper at
EuCAP
2009. In this paper, co-authored by Tu Eindhoven, the accuracy of
WinProp's urban ray-optical
propagation models
is presented and compared to measurements in two cities in the
Netherlands.
Besides
the signal level (i.e. path loss) also the delay spread and the
angular spread
are compared. And the high accuracy of WinProp is confirmed by an
independent research center.
