TD-SCDMA Simulations

Possibilities to use WinProp for TD-SCDMA network planning

Introduction

Due to the flexible structure of ProMan's network simulator it is also possible to simulate networks based on the TD-SCDMA air interface. The reduced channel bandwidth and chiprate can be parameterized according to the desired specification. Furthermore the possibility for a flexible definition of different services supports TD-SCDMA scenarios.

For further information about the dynamic simulation approach please visit the general UMTS TDD description page and also the general UMTS FDD page.

Outputs

Statistical output is generated regarding the throughput for each sector (carried/offered traffic) and different output maps are generated for the simulation area (see example below):

  • MS power

Propagation Models

The important determination of the inter-cell and intra-cell interference requires advanced propagation models.

AWE Communications provides a variety of these  propagation models for different scenarios and all models interact with he network planning module.

Please have a look at the propagation pages to get further infromation.
