Introduction
|
|
|
AWE
offers an application programming
interface (API) for network planning
computations. The interface is realized in
DLLs and is available for Microsoft
Windows and Linux (both in 32 and 64 bit). The very simple handling of the
API allows customers to easily include a
radio network planning module in their own
software tools.
The
API is used by several companies and was
additionally sold to their customers.
Currenlty more than 500 users are working
with the WinProp API.

The
software includes the following features:
-
All air interfaces from WinProp
stand alone software supported: 2G, 3G, LTE, WiMAX,
W-LAN,
etc.
-
Pre-defined configurations
available.
-
Air interfaces fully user-definable
(all parameters can be defined via API).
-
Computation of all relevant results
possible: Received power, SNIR, througghput,
max. data rate, MIMO streams, etc.
-
Network compuation on horizontal
planes as well as on inclined planes
and arbitrary polygons supported.
-
Path loss maps (propagation results) for each transmitting antenna defined in the network (for the best usage of the Network Planning API, the Wave Propagation API of WinProp is highly recommended).
The
package is delivered with the following

Wave Propagation
For the best usage of the Network Planning API of
WinProp the Wave Propagation API of
WinProp is highly recommended.
Wave propagation predictions are
computed with the Wave
Propagation
API and
the Network Planning API is
used on top of the wave
propagation.
