Applications of WinProp in DVB-H network simulations

WinProp is used for DVB-H simulations.

Some typical applications are:

Eutelsat used WinProp coverage (broadcast) simulations for Mobile TV transmission via the DVB-H standard in Italy to estimate the number of required transmitters in typical environments.

SONY simulates the mobile indoor radio channel for Japanese Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting (ISDB-T) and European Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting (DVB-T) with WinProp's high resolution 3D ray tracing propagation models.

Fraunhofer IIS in Erlangen used WinProp for the planning of  a trial network for the upcoming DVB-SH in the Erlangen area (Germany).
The network had a hybrid network architecture including satellite and terrestrial repeaters. To analyze the reciever requirements (e.g. receiver window length, iinterleaver depth, etc.) the ray-optical wave propagation model included in WinProp was very useful.
