wireless infrastructure of
a large petrochemical plant.
Here the high accuracy of the deterministic indoor propagation
models
of WinProp as well as their short computation times are very important
because the planning is done without any calibration measurements.

The Petrol-Chemical Plant
Especially the complex scenario with many huge metallic obstacles was a
big challenge when designing the radio network.
With WallMan the whole
scenario (plant) was defined as an indoor
database. This allowed a very flexible 3D modeling of the
scenario.

The Planning of the Network
Due to the defintiion as an indoor
database, ProMan was able
to predict with the indoor
proagation module on multiple heights simultaneously. This allowed
to analyze the coverage on multiple heights in the plant.
