Applications of Customers with Satellite Transmitters

WinProp is used for many different satellite simulations. Geostationary as well as LEO and navigation (GPS) satellites can be modeled with WinProp.

Some typical applications are:

WinProp was used for the modeling of the satellite radio channel in urban (and even indoor scenarios) by evaluating 3D building data and was compared with measurement campaigns carried out by Fraunhofer IIS.

DLR uses WinProp for the planning of GPS reference stations in airport scenarios. For this purpose the multipath effects are carefully analyzed with the highly accurate ray-optical wave propagation model of WinProp.

The University of Colorado models the multipath scenario for the sea-based joint precision and landing system (JPALS) in aircraft carrier scenarios with the highly accurate ray-optical wave propagation model of WinProp.
