WinProp Wave Propagation Interface

DLLs for customer's software tools

Introduction

AWE offers an application programming interface (API) for the indoor wave propagation models. The interface is implemented in DLLs and is available for Windows and Linux operating systems (in 32 and 64 bit).
The very simple handling of the API allows customers to easily integrate fast and accurate wave propagation models from the WinProp suite into their own software tools. The customer can use the tool internally or can sell it to other companies (some of our customers have already sold our API several hundred times to other companies).

Technical Details

The software includes the following features:

  • All indoor propagation models available: Semi-deterministic Dominant Path Model, empirical COST 231 Multi-Wall Model and 3D Ray Tracing included.

  • Prediction of Fieldstrength, Power, Path Loss, and propagation paths (incl. channel impulse response).

  • Import filter (conversion module) for 3D CAD files (e.g. AutoCAD *.dwg,, *.dxf, etc.).

  • Accurate prediction results.

  • Generate indoor propagation maps, interpolated from outdoor planning tools, walk tests or empirical measurements.

  • Predictions on inclined planes and arbitrary polygons supported.

The delivery of the package includes:

  • WinProp API DLLs (32 or 64 bit) for Microsoft Windows and Linux (for other operating systems please ask our sales team)

  • Detailed documentation

  • Sample project for Microsoft Visual Studio

Commercial Products

The WinProp Indoor API is sold as add-on (plug-in) for several commercially available radio planning tools (click on the symbols to get further information):
