Introduction
|
|
|
Most
commercial radio network planning tools offer a wide variety of features
and tools for the planning of wireless networks. But very often the
propagation models included in these tools are only basic models like
Hata-Okumura. More sophisticated
propagation models can only be used via an API. AWE Communications
offers its popular prediction models with DLL interfaces for 3rd party
radio network planning tools.

Handling
and Integration
|
|
|
WinProp's rural propagation models
are
fully integrated into the radio network planning tools and directly connected to the
corresponding API. All parameters of the propagation models
can be handled with the GUI of the RNP. The available
settings and databases, e.g. antenna patterns, topography
and clutter maps can be used directly without further
conversions.
The integration of the DLLs for the propagation plug-ins into the tools is very
simple and a task of approx. 5 minutes.
Many customers already
enhanced their radio network planning process by using WinProp's
accurate and flexible propagation models instead of the classical
models provided by the tool manufacturer.
