Suburban Propagation Modeling

Application 

There are no special suburban propagation models designed up to now. Therefore suburban environments must be analyzed with urban or rural propagation models, depending on the building density. In case of small or medium building density, urban propagation models can be used. If no buildings or only very small density of buildings, rural propagation models should be used (with additional clutter classes to separate areas with buildings and without buildings). As the rural propagation models in WinProp can be customized by the user with many parameters, the rural propagation models can also be used for suburban environments with medium building density (if detailed vector dastabases of the buildings are not available) .
