Gerd Woelfle
Gerd
Woelfle joined the company in 1998 and today he is responsible for the
WinProp software suite including
ProMan, WallMan and AMan. He coordinates the
development activities for these software packages and is responsible
for the integration of customer-specific extensions to the suite.
Since 1993 Gerd has been engaged in wireless communications and he
developed software (propagation models, network planning tools) and
hardware (measurement equipment, basestation transceivers) for the
wireless industry. Gerd has authored and co-authored more than 60 scientific papers, got two best paper awards at
international conferences, and holds international patents in USA,
Japan and Europe.

Reiner Hoppe
Reiner
Hoppe is with AWE Communications since 1998. He is currently head of
the satellite activities
within AWE Communications and he is leading the evolution of the
deterministic (ray-optical) propagation models in WinProp.
In his PhD thesis Reiner developed the IRT (Intelligent Ray
Tracing), a new ray tracing algorithm with extremely short
computation time and high accuracy.
Reiner is involved in the development of propagation models since 1995
and has published more than 40 scientific
papers, several journal papers and a chapter in the Wiley
Encyclopedia of Telecommunications. Reiner was also a member of the
European COST 259 and 273 activities and is representing AWE
Communications in the European Integrated Satcom Initiative (ISI).

Rene Wahl
Rene
Wahl joined AWE Communications during the development of the Dominant Path Model (DPM).
Today
Rene is responsible for the evolution of the DPM. And he is head of the
development of propagation models for time-variant
scenarios. This includes all automotive activities within AWE
Communications.
Rene published several scientific papers
related to the Dominant
Path Model and to the propagation models for time-variant
scenarios.

Angelika Woelfle
Angelika
Woelfle is responsible for the administration and the finances of AWE
Communications.
Soon
after joining AWE Communications in 1998, she organized the
accounting department and all financial processes in the
company.
Today she is responsible for all financial activities (accounting,
taxes,..) and she is head of the administration (Human Resources,
Sales,...).
Besides these activities, she is also responsible for the
negotiation of research and development contracts with our partners.

Oliver Staebler
Oliver
Staebler joined AWE Communications in 2006. At that time he was
primarily involved in the development of the prediction models for time-variant
scenarios In a project with a German GSM and 3G network
operator he also contributed to the evolution of the 2.5G and 3G system simulators of AWE
Communications.
Today
he is responsible for the WiMAX
and 3G network simulators.
