Oliver Staebler received the Dipl.-Ing.
degree in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Stuttgart (Germany) and the Dr-Ing.
(PhD) degree from the University
of
Erlangen-Nuremberg(Germany).
He worked already in his study and master
thesis for
AWE Communications in different areas (time variant propagation models
for time-variant
scenarios
as well as network planning for 2G and 3G cellular networks). Before joining AWE Communications, he was
with T-Mobile (cellular network operator in Germany) where he was
involved in the
operation of the 2G and 3G networks.
After he joined AWE Communications he has been working
as R&D Engineer on radio network
planning tools. Currently he is responsible for
the
development
of
the
connectivity
simulators for sensor and
MESH networks and for the MIMO
extension of WinProp for the LTE,
3G, and WiMAX network planning modules.
Besides
these activities he coordinates also all data input converters (topography & clutter, urban, and indoor) and data export filters.
During his first years
in AWE Communications, Oliver also worked on his PhD thesis. The thesis
is related to the MIMO channel models for LTE and WiMAX.
