Rene Wahl obtained the diploma degree
(Dipl.-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Stuttgart
(Germany) and the Dr.-Ing. (PhD) degree from the
University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany).
In 2004 he started with his work for AWE Communications during his
master thesis. The main focus of his work at this stage was the development of the new
dominant
path
propagation
model for indoor and
urban
scenarios. His
current activities include besides the continuous improvement of the
dominant path
model the automatic calibration of all propagation
models and the further enhancement of the
WinProp API.
During his
first years in AWE Communications, Rene also worked on his
PhD thesis. The thesis is related to
semi-deterministic and
ray
optical channel modelling for
time variant radar and communication applications. His
thesis can be obtained directly from
the publisher.
