Oliver Staebler received the Dipl.-Ing.
degree in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Stuttgart (Germany).
He worked in his study and master thesis for
AWE Communications in different areas (time variant propagation models
as well as network planning for 2G and 3G cellular networks). He was also with T-Mobile (main GSM and 3G
operator in Germany) where he was involved in the
operation of the 2G and 3G network.
After he joined AWE Communications he has been working
as R&D Engineer on radio network
planning tools. Currently he is responsible the
MIMO
extension of WinProp and for the 2.5G, 3G, and WiMAX network planning modules (incl. the dynamic
system simulator for 3G radio networks).
Besides
these activities he coordinates also all data input converters (topography & clutter, urban, and indoor) and data export filters.
In his PhD thesis he is focusing on the channel models for MIMO, 3G
LTE and WiMAX.
